Safer at Home & State Supreme Court Ruling

We have been closely following the information regarding the Safer at Home order and the recent state supreme court ruling.

Please be aware that while the ruling lifts the Safer at Home order and the library will still be offering curbside service, we will not be reopening the physical building at this time.

We want to make sure that when we open, we will be able to remain open. The safety of our patrons, staff, and community is our top priority.

That means that we are continuing to put into place the the proper operating and cleaning procedures that are needed for that to happen. We anticipate an opening with reduced services in a few weeks, with a goal of June 1. The library will be consulting with the City of Chilton, the Emergency Manager, and Calumet County Health Department to help guide us towards our goal.

The library appreciates all the support that we have received over this challenging time. We truly miss seeing each patron finding that book that brightens their day, the sound of kids laughing, and just the connections that we get to make in the community everyday.
